We start our tour from the birth house of the famous poet and writer Gianni Rodari in 56 Mazzini street, also seat of his father’s bakery at that time. After a few meters, we reach the Town Hall, In front of it, just across the street, the right lakeside promenade begins and we walk along it enjoying the amazing view, after about 500.mt, we stop and see the shape of Colombina ( one of the main chacters of the Rodari’s tale“ Lamberto, Lamberto, Lamberto”) rising fromthe lake.
On the opposite side, on the right, “Lamberto park” stands, an enchanting green corner with lake view, where we can stop and relax, diving into the atmosphere of the Rodari’s tale, thanks to the shapes of the other Characters who had to chant the name Lamberto continually to keep him young.
We could take inspiration from them and chanting the name of someone we would like to be eternally youthful.
We come to the Town Centre, walking back along the walkside promenade and from the Town Hall, after about 5 minutes, we reach the Forum Museum trough the “Nigoglia” promenade, a small canal popular as the river that flowes north. Here we can see the H2rOdari- water roots exhibition.
it’s about the author’s biography that develops around the water and the three lakes, represented and interpreted trough art installations. A kind of unique experience!
We walk along the Nigoglia promenade again and here we are back to the the Town Centre.
