This itinerary leadsyou from the city center to Alpe Matrolino where you can enjoy a wonderful view of lake and city.

We start walking from the Town Hall in direction of the Public Gardens, after about 10 mt. on the right side, we access to a small inner square called “ Vaticano district” trough one of the alleys featuring the Old Town. Right trough another one of them, we arrive to Alberganti street, on the opposite side and from here we go straight back to the Town Hall in XXIV Aprile square, where, on the left side, we can admire a medioeval building named “ Bazzetta House”.

The itinerary is suitable for all abilities. You may leave your car in the large car park of the Sports Centre (Piazzale Lodi) and cross the footbridge “Fiumetta” following the road that runs along the football pitch, until you arrive in Via Erbera.

This path is interesting and well signposted but recommended to experienced walkers. From La Verta zone we follow Bertogna street and park in the small square of Ronco. Once left our car, we turn on the left first and on the right then, on a stairway, identifying the white and red sign. We head towards a rocky mass to overcome, then we go uphill on the right side of the wood toward “ la selva”.

BORCA-CRABBIA-AGRANO-BORCA PATH itinerary: Borca-Crabbia-Agrano-Borca; difference:130 mt; lenght: 7 km; time: 3.30 hours; difficulty: for everyone   We park our car in Borca at the end of Martinoli street, close to the church (to Borca, from Omegna, we take the provincial road to Mottarone and after the level crossing we turn on the right and then on the left). The path - marked in white and red- starts just after the church and immediatly  enters in the chestnuts and oak wood.

Itinerary: Crusinallo Gattugno Alpe Colla Germagno Crusinallo; difference: 400 mt; lenght: 8 km; time: 4 hours; difficulty: for everyone We park our car in the upper part of Crusinallo near the church and we forward in S.Fermo street turning on the right, then on the left (white red signal) in Belvedere street and we go up hill; after passing the last houses the path enters in a small pineforest, just after the small chapel, in a chestnuts wood; beyond other 3 houses we are in Gattugno.

We start our tour from the birth house of the famous poet and writer Gianni Rodari in 56 Mazzini street, also seat of his father’s bakery at that time.

The path is properly signposted and recommended to experienced walkers. In Verta hamlet we can both park in the small square of Ronco or take to Bertogna street. Once parked, we go to the left and then to the right on the stairway, identifying the white and red sign.   We enter the path toward a rocky mass to overpass, then we take the path on the left , till we reach the “ vasca” and the “ Rio S.Rocco” fall, most known as “ Real Camin”.
