Bagnella - Nonio Bagnella - Oira - Nonio - Brolo - Bagenlla

The itinerary is suitable for all abilities.

You may leave your car in the large car park of the Sports Centre (Piazzale Lodi) and cross the footbridge “Fiumetta” following the road that runs along the football pitch, until you arrive in Via Erbera. Turn left and walk below the rocky ridge that dominates the village of Bagnella towards the woodland, leaving the lake to your left.

Walk along the dirt road, pass the basin and reach the power plant of Brolo, go past it and walk uphill along the path a few metres above the lake banks. After a few bends, cross the stream and continue across the woodland until, after a part slightly downhill, you almost reach the lake bank. Have a look at the stream and waterfall and then climb the path uphill across the woodland, until you reach the first house in the village of Oira. From there continue until you cross an iron bridge on the lake bank.

Walk up along the lake bank from Oira towards Nonio on the tarred road, passing a few steep bends, until you arrive under an arch bridge below the main road, from where immediately after you will enter the village of Nonio. Continue towards the mule road (following the white/red marks) that will lead you up to the Lakes of Nonio. With the lakes behind you, the path goes back into the woodland following the canal where after walking downhill for a few hundred metres you will reach Brolo's football pitch.

Cross the village and, taking care when crossing the main road, on the right you will find some stairs (next to an open space and stone walls) that will lead you down to a nice residential area and towards the path that continues down to the lake. Following the path, you will reach the dirt road in the direction of Via Erbera and Bagnella's football pitches, where you will find the pedestrian road and the footbridge across the Fiumetta river: you are back where you started.
